While Luz and King help Hooty up, Eda coughs up the still-living Snaggleback out and goes to sleep, attempting to confront her mystery curser in her dreams to no avail. Sometime later, both Eda and Lilith would try out for the Emperor's coven, but only one spot remained and they would have to battle each other. In desperation, Lilith went to a market to try and take away Eda's powers for the day of the battle, but instead cursed her to turn into the Owl Beast, with the curse being permanent instead of temporary. Eda lives in a mysterious, moving house known as the Owl House, which she shares with her young human apprentice, Luz Noceda, and a quirky creature named King.

She is also the mentor of Luz Noceda, the lover of Raine Whispers, and the roommate and later adoptive mother of King. Due to being on opposing sides of Belos' laws, Kikimora has been an occasional enemy for Eda, with both sharing a mutual loathing of each other. Like with all members of the Emperor's Coven, Eda possesses virtually no respect for Kikimora due to her loyalty to Belos and considers her to be among the worst of the emperor's followers due to her apathetic and power-hungry nature. In turn, Kikimora looks down on Eda in contempt for her status as a wild witch, viewing her as a lowly criminal and cretin. After Eda was captured and sentenced to petrification by Belos, Kikimora served as her executioner, having personally activated the spell that nearly turned her to stone permanently, had it not been for Luz's timely arrival. Eda holds a grudge towards Kikimora for this, which only grew as she came to occasionally cause trouble for both her and Luz, first at Latissa and later at Eclipse Lake.
Season 3
The contestants will be flying down the right arm to the Cubital Valley, using speed, cunning and magic to race to the checkpoint and back to the finish line. The first one to reach the finish will be declared the winner, and get their name etched on the Cup of Ephemeral Glory and an on-camera interview seen by everyone watching across the Isles. However, she is still avoiding King, as she is still too afraid to hear what wants to tell her. But, when they reach the spot, they realize too late they have fallen into a trap. Heads Witches Eberwolf and Derius capture Raine's followers and send them to the Conformatorium.
The curse strengthens
Luz talks about her first time being in the isles, and shows the Collector some other pictures of her adventures before he shows interest in the picture of the Grudgby match, to which the four leave the house to go to Hexside's stadium. After Belos' defeat, Eda, King, Luz, and Raine go back to the Owl House to rest. The Collector brings Lilith, Amity, and Camila to the house to reunite with Eda and Luz, respectfully. During the 4-year time skip, the Owl House was cleaned up and Raine moved in.[1] Eda, King, Lilith, Camila, and others held a belated quinceañera for Luz because she has spent three years helping rebuild the Isles.

Friends / Allies
Eda is renowned for her magical prowess, particularly her ability to use powerful spells without the need for a staff, a rare and coveted skill. However, her magic comes with a price—she suffers from a curse known as “the Owl Beast,” which transforms her into a monstrous, owl-like creature at unpredictable times. Eda's relationship with her mother was originally strained, as she ran away from home and from her when she overheard Gwendolyn suggesting harsher treatments to remove her curse. Later, Gwendolyn would visit her annually with what she considers a permanent cure that never works, which Eda finds annoying since she believes she is just fine with her elixirs. After she and Lilith both transform into owl beasts, and Gwendolyn learns that she had been scammed, Gwendolyn realizes she made Eda feel ashamed of her curse and tells her that she loves her regardless of it, allowing Eda to regain control of her cursed form. On the day of the Gland Prix, King once again tries to tell Eda something, but she tells him to inform her after the race ends.
Preparing for the Day of Unity
As soon as he finishes, Bowtie becomes little more than a mindless pet, and Eda is forced to wear the bee costume and succumb to the same fate as Bowtie and the pets of the café. Eda arrives just in time to witness Luz and King cross the finish line, but even though Luz does pass and beat Ukla of Glandus, it is quickly revealed they came in fifth place, much to Eda's surprise. Luz explains that during the race, they were on the verge of winning, as they passed all the other witches and made it to first place. Unfortunately, just as they were close to winning, King's motion sickness got the better of him, and he threw up again, causing them to crash. Due to their race ranking, Luz and King won't be getting the on-camera interview.

Raine Whispers
Kikimora, revealing her other eye, proceeds to ensnare Raine using their coven mark, then puts them in a deep slumber. She attended at Hexside Academy where among other things, she played in grudgby matches and was a rather rebellious student in general who played various pranks on her teachers and the school itself, much to Principal Bump's (and his predecessor Principal Faust's) exasperation. The series also won an award for Children's & Youth Programming at the 2021 Peabody Awards. Beneath her carefree exterior, Eda harbors a sense of responsibility for Luz and a desire to protect her from the dangers of the Boiling Isles. She is a character who evolves throughout the series, revealing vulnerability, wisdom, and a deep connection to her past. Eda Clawthorne is a captivating and multi-dimensional character whose journey in “The Owl House” is as enchanting as the magical world she inhabits.
Coven Heads
Eda always turns them down and in return, her ex's will either try to insist or kill her. But due to her rebellious nature, she is pretty much an outcast/criminal who has a great number of enemies - some of which who are business rivals or ex-boyfriends. She is the sort of teacher that would not only throw someone into the deep water but also set the entire lake on fire. Natalie Palamides and Abigail Zoe Lewis voice a teenage and young version of Eda, respectively.
Character-Specific Pages
Eda jokes that, with this side effect, the song is more like Eda's Requiem now, and she departs. Declaring that covens were not "her style", Eda reminded her sister to not forget her when she becomes famous. However, much to her and Lilith's horror, Eda's curse manifested shortly after she started walking away, and she transformed into the Owl Beast.
Eda sees that the Owl Beast feels just as trapped as her and forms a truce between her and the beast. Once Eda accepts the curse as a part of her and cooperates with the beast, she can transform into Harpy Eda, a hybrid form that combines the Owl Beast's power with Eda's wit. In order to transform, she makes a deal with the Owl Beast which, on Eda's end, involves eating voles for the Owl Beast. In "Watching and Dreaming", when Eda is trapped in the Conformatorium, she is concerned about King and asks Lilith and Gwendolyn to help her find him. When Luz frees her and King from their nightmares, she kisses him and Luz while sharing a hug.
Luz manages to find and console King, and when the duo return to Eda, King forgives the witch that adopted him years ago, but states that she has to be honest with him from now on. King hopes to use the slide as his throne, but gets pushed down it by a child he calls "the Usurper". He demands Eda to blow up said child, but the Owl Lady has no intention of using Owlbert to bring harm to a child. Luz then asks how Eda got Owlbert, and her mentor explains that the palisman was carved from a branch of an ancient tree.
Later, while manning her stand, Eda notices that everyone is disinterested and walking past. Eda shows no interest in the book fair, but takes advantage of the opportunity to pickpocket. She finds a book with a mirror on its cover, and realizes another wrinkle has formed on her face, indicative of the curse's quickening effects on her. She then hears Lilith nearby, who acquires a map to the Bloom of Eternal Youth for Emperor Belos from a merchant. Hoping that the Bloom will cure her curse, Eda acquires a map for herself and prepares to leave the Owl House for a few days. The Collector initially refers to it as "The Bird House", and Eda corrects him before flying around it to see the damage and graffiti caused by the Coven Scouts.
When Luz turns eighteen, Eda and various others organize a belated quinceañera for her. As they watch a light show the Collector puts on, she shares a moment with Raine, and Luz thanks her and King for being in her life. One day, King comes by the Hooty as a puppet and they meet up with Lilith, who has managed to recreate the elixir.
Raine reminds Eda of the time they ditched a performance to hang out with her, during which Eda told them that they can't run away from their fears forever, and that they could "give them a whap in the face". Raine then explains that these words inspired them after they became a teacher for the Bard Coven, where they discovered how Belos recruited people through force. They then decided to rise up through the ranks so they could dismantle the system from the inside, and so they could find like-minded people to form the BATs. The group then run off when they hear someone coming, during which Raine asks Eda to help them if she wants to. When forced to attend IFWOT, facing expulsion if she failed to come back with a ribbon, she met Bard Student named Raine Whispers, who helped her with the challenges. The exam proctor, Terra Snapdragon, was unimpressed with the challenges of IFWOT and added one final challenge, a game of Covens and Wilds.
She decides to distract herself by joining the Bards Against the Throne, led by her old friend Raine Whispers. Eda almost sacrifices herself along with Raine while trying to fight Darius and Eberwolf. However, when Raine notices a picture of Eda with Luz and King, they convince Eda that despite what it may look like, Luz and King still need her.
The contestants will be flying down the right arm to the Cubital Valley, using speed, cunning, and magic to race to the checkpoint and back to the finish line. The first one to reach the finish will be declared the winner, get their name etched on the Cup of Ephemeral Glory, and receive an on-camera interview seen by everyone watching across the Isles. Soon after the race begins, Raine calls for Eda's help, saying that the BATs got a tip about another raid. Coven leaders Darius and Eberwolf capture Raine's followers in Abomination goo and send them to the Conformatorium, much to Katya's dismay.
